Mike has over 14 years experience tuning and rebuilding pianos. He is a registered piano technician with the Piano Technicians Guild, North Bennet Street School alumni, and Steinway factory trained technician. He works on forte pianos, harpsichords, electronic and pneumatic player pianos, and vintage electronic keyboards. Mike is also a certified Piano Disc and Piano Lifesaver installer.

Bio: I provide concert-level piano tuning and maintenance services in the Asheville area along with piedmont North Carolina. I specialize in grand piano keyboard and action rebuilding, including hammer replacement and touch-weight regulation. I trained in piano technology at the North Bennet St. School in Boston, MA . Prior to that, I earned a BA degree from Oberlin College, where I studied piano. Currently, I serve as concert piano technician for the North Carolina Symphony and the Asheville Chamber Music Series. I have worked as staE piano technician for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the Brevard Music Center in Brevard, NC. In addition to my technical work, I enjoy playing both jazz and classical piano.
