Location: First Congregational Church, 20 Oak Street, Asheville, NC

Meet & Greet: 9:45 AM

AAPF Annual Meeting: 10:00 AM

Presentation: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

What makes Claude Debussy's piano music so unforgettable and distinct? Why do we associate "Impressionism" with Debussy's music, and how does that affect how we perform and teach it?

Join AAPF Vice President Dr. Leonidas Lagrimas for an exploration into Debussy's "sound world" and the various influences that defined his style.  The presentation features live performances of Debussy's piano and vocal music, with a wonderful lineup of AAPF Guest artists.  We hope you will join us for a deeper look into the music of Claude Debussy.
