The AAPF offers many activities providing educational and charitable opportunities for Western North Carolina piano teachers, their students and our entire community.

Practice for Pets

Annual fundraising event to encourage student practice hours and to raise money for the Asheville Humane Society. More info here

(NEW) Amateur Piano Performance Group

A brand new performance group specifically for adult amateur pianists to play for their peers. Brief presentation introducing improvisation by Nathan Shirley to follow.

Held throughout the year. Typically held monthly in member homes as informal gatherings for performance practice, listening and discussion. All members are welcome to participate. For questions or to volunteer to host a performance group, contact .

Board meetings begin at 10:30 am on the first Friday bimonthly starting in August. These meetings are open to all AAPF members.  for more info.
